Launch Housing, is a Melbourne-based community organisation that delivers homelessness services and life-changing housing support to disadvantaged Victorians.
This year, Rokon Giving has made a donation to Launch Housing’s “Parachute Fund”. This fund provides individuals and families at risk of homelessness with short-term financial assistance to cover basic living expenses to help them recover and rebuild their lives.
Many people seeking access to rapid support are women and children escaping domestic and family violence.
Building communities is one of our capabilities and in turn, we feel a great connection with Launch Housing in the work they do to support our broader community.
We look forward to supporting Launch Housing over in the next FY to provide more women and children with affordable, safe and secure housing.
Variety – the Children’s Charity supports kids and families who are facing many challenges through sickness, disadvantage or living with special needs. Their work allows kids to gain mobility, to get out and about in the community, to communicate, achieve independence and increase their self-esteem. We make sure the kids who miss out, can always join in.
Our charitable arm, Rokon Giving, has again contributed to Variety – the Children’s Charity, to continue their vital work with disadvantaged children through their Bikes for Kids program, which has been running for over 20 years.
With our donation, Variety has purchased more bikes and provided Bike Ed with Bicycle Network, to ensure kids learn to ride safely.
West Footscray Roosters are an Australian Rules Football Club who compete in the Western Regional Football League. Having turned 90 years old in 2022, the Roosters play a pivotal role in the local community proving opportunities for women, men and children to actively participate in Australian Rules Football, with a focus of social inclusion for all at the club. Rokon have been sponsoring the Roosters for the last 6 years!
